Zakariya possesses a keen expertise in analyzing complex ownership structures, managing risks to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Emerging Markets, and providing market entry strategies throughout the MENA region. Fluent in multiple Arabic dialects, he brings linguistic skills and exposure to the Middle Eastern and North African markets, Türkiye, Iran, and Pakistan. Zakariya’s key expertise includes OSINT/HUMINT/FININT/SOCMINT gathering, competitive intelligence, FCPA investigations, M&A/Pre-Transaction Due Diligence, and political risk analysis. His years as a Founder and Managing Director at Fort Corps follows a distinguished five-year tenure as a Managing Consultant at a corporate intelligence firm in the UK. Zakariya’s academic foundation includes Engineering, International Relations, Security Studies degrees and an MBA, complemented by practical experience a complemented by practical experience in insurance, private equity and public affairs advisory. Omar Mahmud, Managing Partner at Fort Corps, brings a wealth of expertise honed over a decade leading corporate intelligence projects across the MENA region. Originally from Iraq and fluent in Arabic, Omar has overseen myriad investigative due diligence and asset tracing cases. His academic journey includes a Master’s in Project Management and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering, providing him with a unique and well-rounded skill set.
